I must start this out by saying that this book was not what I expected. I really don’t know what I expected, but this wasn’t it. I had heard online good things about the author so I decided to try her out. This was the first of her books that I’ve read. I intend to read more.
The Crusader series continues soon with the second book, Blue Eyes at Night, A fast moving novel of adventure as a war-haunted Crusader takes on a suicide mission to find redemption for his own terrible deeds.

I may not be the most prolific writer that I know, but I write a lot. My day job takes much of my life, and my kids, who deserve all of me that they can get. But, every waking hour that I can pencil out time, I spend inventing things, alternate realities and fantastic worlds, creating dialogue or characters.
This book is in the Fantasy genre, in particular it is a dark fantasy romance. Now, normally, I am not a romance person, but I took a shine to this one because it was about a necromancer and not your typical vamp fiction—not that I don’t love vamps, mind you. But this one looked unique.
